This video shows how to connect to a local database.
Most of the perspectives in Biluna store the user entered data in a database. The perspectives represent a 'type of work', for example: the ACC perspective deals with accounting.
The 'Read more' section of this article explains how to create and setup a local database from scratch.
Create a local database
Select in the menu:
File > New > Plain Text Document
In the file dialog window select the folder or directory where you want to store the database. Enter the file name you want to use for the database. Good practice is to use an easy understandable name such as:
localdatabase_XXX.db3
This name indicates that it is a local database, XXX should be replaced with the owner name or for example the purpose of the database. The .db3 extension is a common extension for this type of database and will be recognized by Biluna.
