The EN1591-1 is the European design code for flange calculations. The calculation is not only for the check of the allowable stresses in the flange, bolts and gasket, but also gives an idea about the leak tightness of the flange assembly.
The PCALC perspective of the Biluna application framework is a validation application for the calculations. The application focuses on the individual formulae in the EN1591-1 design code and allows evaluation and validation of the calculations at formula detail level. The individual formulae but also the individual iterations can be shown in the software.
