The releases 4.1.X of PCC have reached a point where further development has become difficult. The architecture of the software is not flexible enough to make interfaces with other software applications. This is the main reason to rewrite the PCC software completely.
The PCC version 5 is now in the testing phase as a plugin in the Biluna development environment. We are happy with this first milestone and are now prepared for further development of the PCC application.
The Biluna software architecture now includes the logic layer between the user interface and the data handling part.
The source code of the core library DB has been evaluated by Qt. A comprehensive report has been issued by the Qt engineers. Based on this report, a lot of improvements will be made to the source code. The purpose of the improvements are that the DB library will be future proof and can be used also in QML designed front-ends.

Red-Bag is an independent engineering, consultancy and software company for the process industry. The Red-Bag services include mechanical calculations, providing advice for mechanical questions and supply of software tools to execute mechanical calculations.
